HIS winter has been, rather decidedly, one of intense transition – at least for the parents! After Kieran went on a murderous spree of waking up at 2:00, 4:00, 6:00 and then finally for good at 7:30 AM for just over 3 ½ weeks straight just after Christmas, he must have misplaced his secret copy of the CIA torture manuals, as he now (bless him) has decided only to wake up once per night. I can whole-heartedly report that this is fabulous. I no longer arrive at work and begin promptly to stare absent-mindedly at the many windows that appear on my computer screen. Flynn continues to be a wild, although remarkably intelligent animal, and is excited that he is now formally enrolled in kindergarten. And just to keep things interesting, we have collectively decided to sell our house and buy a new one 7 blocks away. This was precipitated by the fact that the pater familia will be taking a new job at the National Ecological Observatory Network in a few short weeks. A bit ridiculous, but not boring!
